On December 30, the Second Mrinalini Sarabhai Award for Classical Excellence in Dance was conferred on Priti Patel from Calcutta for outstanding contribution in the Manipuri genre, the award is the biggest for Classical dance in India. Priti paid her tribute to Mrinalini by presenting a wonderful interpretation of Tagore’s Chitrangada, paying homage to the spirit of the modern woman in India. Throughout the performance, it was evident that Priti Patel is perhaps one of the most talented Manipuri dancers this country has produced in the last two decades.

Aparna Roy joined Anjika in 2000. In 2007 she performed in the DRDO Auditorium. She has performed in Bangladesh in 2016 and 2017 and has received the State Role Model Award from the Dept of Disabilities Govt. of West Bengal. In 2018 and 2019 she took part in the Symposium and Workshop on Art and Disabilities in Delhi University. Other honours include the 'Star 2020 Award' from the Heart and Soul Cultural Society at Lucknow and the National Award for Individual Excellence from the Honourable President of India Smt Murmu.
